This is a guest post by Kevin Craig who is a financial writer associated with various finance related Communities. He has been providing advice on debt consolidation and debt settlement since 2007 and also written some great articles on bankruptcy, mortgage refinance, credit counseling, credit repair, debt management, personal injury and so on.

After the recent unfortunate recession, when people are incessantly drowning under the sea of overwhelming debt, earning money online is becoming extremely popular. This extra money would enable people to desist debt burdens and eventually creditor harassment as well.

Although online is a popular source of earning money, but you must be careful while considering the option. It is not very easy to find out a legitimate and free ways of making money online. So let us here discuss how to get started and how to get the most from the free ways of making money online. Anyone looking for earning money online can use these methods and earn a considerable amount each month.

1. Make money writing web articles:

There are many websites that welcome everyone to contribute by submitting articles on their site. Writing articles is one of the most interesting ways of earning money online. If you have a flair skill of writing and have adequate knowledge on a subject, you can write articles for a website like AssociatedContent, ehow, about.com and many others.

In general, these websites make payment in two ways:

Upfront Payment: One time payment to the writers for every article approved by the site. In general, $3 to $10 is paid for each approved article.

Performance Payment: A payment in accordance to the traffic received by your published articles. The current rate offered by the site is $1.50 per one thousand page views.

2. Freelancing:

There are many freelance job websites that offer various freelance working opportunities.  Visit those websites and find a suitable freelance job for yourself. The free job opportunities on freelance websites include writing articles, programming, web designing, editing, and online data entry.

To get started, sign up for a freelance job website like Guru.com and create a profile. Then search for a freelance job that is for you. Remember, there are many other individuals who have also signed up for the site and looking for a job. So to compete with them, set your price low and write your proposals well in order

3. Make money on uploading photographs:

Are you passionate about photography? If yes, go ahead and utilize your skill and passion. Click some interesting and funny pictures and upload them on sites, like Break.com. If any of your photos get featured on the site, you will get $50 for the photograph.

To get started, register yourself at Break.com and start uploading photographs. However, before you begin, you may go through the gallery just to have a glance what sort of photographs usually get featured on the site. Make sure, the photos you upload solely belong to you, or else you will not be paid even if it is featured.

4. Writing reviews for products and services:

Before buying a product, people usually prefer to gather detail information about it just to ensure that they are going to take a wise decision. They visit shopping information sites and go through them to find out the useful data or information about the product that they are considering to buy.

These shopping information sites always look for people who would be interested in contributing to their websites by writing reviews for their products and services. So you may consider the option and start writing reviews for such sites.

5. Make money with eBay:

Hundreds and thousands of sales are made each day, resulting in a lot of people earning a lot of money. So you may also consider the option of selling goods online. However, you may wonder how to get started and where to start from. Simply sign up for a free eBay account and auction goods that you want to sell. For initials, start with selling your own goods that you do not require any more, and later on, buy stocks and resell them on eBay.

In conclusion, if you are looking for a way to earn money online in order to pay off the debt, bear the above mentioned ways in mind.
