Celebrate Your Own Independence Day!

no comment Posted by success

Today is the 4th of July … everywhere in the world. But for people in the United States, its a holiday celebrating the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
To gain freedom the founding fathers risked everything they had because by signing the Declaration of Independence they committed an act of treason. A war ensued in which many people sacrificed their homes and even lost their lives. All in the pursuit of freedom. Working at home isn’t as grand of goal as was sought by the colonists, and yet it does represent a kind of freedom. There are risks and sacrifices involved in working at home, but you don’t need to risk your life, sacrifice your home, or commit treason. The sacrifices are small in comparison. Perhaps you give up a few hours of sleep or your favorite TV show. Maybe you risk a few bucks to advertise your business or invest your career search. Its really small beans compared to political freedom, and yet the rewards are huge. Work when and where you want. Do something you love and are passionate about. Create a secure financial situation. Because the rewards are so big, it always surprises me when people give up on working at home. The investment of time and money into working at home can result in a freedom you’ve only dreamed about. I’m not talking about being rich, although that could happen. I’m talking about having more time for you and your family and all the things you love to do. So as you celebrate the 4th of July or if you have a different independence day you celebrate, think about what was invested and sacrificed to achieve that goal. And then think about what you’re willing to invest and sacrifice to reach your goal.
