The most common question I'm asked (besides "Where is there a list of companies that will pay me to type) is "How do I get started working at home?".

Here is my recommendation for the steps you should take to work from home.

 

1. Cost of Work - It is very expensive to work. Half or even more of your income may be going to your job! You can save a great deal of money by working at home. Before you start any work-at-home venture, find out how much you pay to work, how much you can save to stay home, and how much you would need to earn to work at home.
2. Make a plan - Fail to plan, plan to fail. Too many people jump into the work-at-home search and jump into the first thing that looks good. Even if they choose a good program, odds are they fail because without a good plan, you don't know what do to or where you're heading. So the next step is to devise a plan of action.
3. Learn about home business and telecommuting to determine which will work best for you.
