Hi I want to buy your e courses Virtual Assistant and Affiliate Marketing. I already have bought the Sell Information one. Can I get some kind of discount????
Hi Bernice, I sent you an email privately. Did you receive it?
I want to sign up for two of your courses (Get-A-Work-At-Home-Job and How to be a Virtual Assistant). Which course do you recommend taking first?
Thank you,
Amanda
Hi Amanda,
Well…that depends. If you want to be an employed VA, I might recommend the VA course first as it provides specific details and lists that can help you in a VA job search. If you’re first priority is to get a work-at-home job (any job) then the Job course might be better. I hope that helps. Thank you!
I am an excellent writer and editor. I am committed to working from home on-line…or at least from home. What about becoming a free lance copy editior globally? What would you recommend? I just ordered your “Bible” and “Jobs online books. Thank you so much for your help! I will not stop researching until I am making really good money from home…I KNOW it is possible with YOUR help. Are YOU hiring by chance?
Hi Janelle, There are many opportunities for freelancers related to writing and editing. You can check out MediaBistro.com and WritersWeekly.com for job postings. Places like Elance and Odesk are good resources as well. You might not get paid as much through these resources, but it will give a start and some references. You’ll get paid more going out on your own, so you might consider setting up a website and marketing as a writing and editing business. The “Bible” has tons of information about setting a business. The Jobs Online book offers tips on getting hired and many resources for writing work. Thank you for your purchases and posting a comment. Good luck.
Is there really money in being a Virtual Assistant?
I see it on the internet but it is being outsource.
Hi RE, it is possible to make money as a virtual assistant. How much you make will depend on many factors including the type of services you perform, whether you’re hired as an contractor/employee or in your own business (having your own biz usually results in higher per hour rates). Virtual assistants are a type of outsourced service, but many people prefer VA’s that know their language, so just because a VA out of India or the Philippines might be less expensive, some people want VAs who have a mastery of English and will pay more for that.
Leslie,
Was wondering IF you have an email address for future reference, as just finished writing alot in this comment section, and then it didn’t accept my Captcha code, so very frustrating to have to start over again.
I am wanting to know from you WHICH of your courses you think would be best for me, as I think I may be interested in either setting up a website or blog, but lack the computer skills/knowledge. I also have a B.A. in English, and want to pursue possibly getting some writing/editing assignments, (from sites like Elance) but lack the professional experience, due to my entire work history was in Banking, which I hated.
Have a pretty basic understanding of computers, so am worried that I won’t acquire the required skill level to be successful working for myself.
Do you recommend taking 1 course at a time, and is each course at your own pace, and skill-level? Is there anyone we can contact if we have questions as we take each course?
Any advice and/or info. you could give me is GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANK YOU, IN ADVANCE, FOR YOUR HELP!

Hi Maureen, I can be contacted through the “Contact” page here at WAHS. I do check and respond to all my own email usually within 24 hours. As far as what class is best, it depends much on what you want to do. What is your vision for a website vs a blog? I use blog platforms for all my sites, even if I’m not really blogging. There are many writing opportunities out there for people who may not have too much experience but can write. You can check out MediaBistro, Elance, Odesk, and Writers Weekly for writing jobs. If you’re not sure what you want to do, the Lifestyle Career course might be a good option. If you want offer writing services, the Service Business course might be best. I hope this helps. Contact me here http://www.workathomesuccess.com/contact/ if you have more questions.
Since I was laid off from work I decided to start looking for a job working at home. I have been reading your articles and you have been very helpful. When I saw there are courses I can take to help me to help improve in my skills and land the right job. I would like to know if you wrote these courses.
Hi Peggy, Thank you for visiting Work-At-Home Success. I wrote all the courses listed at Work-At-Home Success University. I also wrote, Work-At-Home Success Bible, Jobs Online, and Profit Blog Blueprint. Let me know if you have more questions.
Hello LTruex,
Your site is interesting and impressive, and I am seriously considering taking the following courses:
–Work at Home Job
–Affiliate Marketing
–Virtual Assistant
My question is, do you offer a discount to someone taking multiple courses?
Thank you, and have a great day
Jeff
Hi Jeff,
Occasionally I offer specials for more than one. If you contact me privately at http://www.workathomesuccess.com/contact/ I can work with you to get the three courses. – Leslie
I’ve been a member of your site for several years and perused it nearly each week while out of work – two years ago I was temporarily rehired at my old job and now I find myself in nearly the same position as I was prior to that. The difference is, this time, I am starting my own business as a Virtual Assistant/Administrative Consultant. Not sure which to call it – do you know the difference if there is one? I appreciate your web site and the assistance that you provide. I ran across the WAHS University just yesterday and I am signing up for Virtual Assistant course and plan to take several others. Thank you so much for what you do!
I am currently a Shipyard tech., I was trained in military for work on computers as data entry, or think as cataloger issuing parts for aviational units all over the US, inventory, or as called in job customer services & document control. Old Burroughs Harddrive & C-3 systems training. I’ve bought new HP desk top since most companies want secure DSL & not wireless, guess make sure your working from home not being distracted by anything while at work. Anyway, I took typeing in high school, typed in “A” school in military, 1st in class to complete typing tests. Taught myself ten key while in service as NSN ( national stock numbers used in all orders. Always done well as sales, love customer support. Now, am in mid 50′s & health not so good would like to do something that would connect me with working from home job first, then trading maybe other areas as you’ve listed. I’ve registered with flexjobs also. I need entry level I guess, cause fear with time since military being distant use of what id like to pursue. Id love to be a cataloger ordering parts for customers for Big parts supplier. I also went to Medical Coding School, Vocational though, 3 courses coding, 1 Med. terminology . I trained in social services in College, 79 credited hours with including military credits. Can you give me some direction from this information I’ve given you, I cannot afford to waste time. Many thanks, Kenneth
Hi Kenneth, Nearly all typing and most data entry jobs I find are scams. If the job you did with the military could be done from home, you might want to make a list of other business, agencies or organizations that need a cateloger or orderer and contact them about the possibility of hiring you from home. Focus on the benefits to them that allowing you to work-at-home can bring such as saving money or less drain on on-site resources. I do see medical coding and transcription jobs as well, but most require several years experience. Again though, you can contact clinics in your area to see if they would allow you to work from home. I hope that helps.
Hi Debbie, Congrats on your new business. An administrative assistant provides support services to other businesses. The term consultant usually suggests that you’re providing expertise not a service. Virtual assistance is a growing field, but like all businesses you’ll need to make a good plan and market it. The WAHS University VA course will take you step-by-step in determining your menu of services, pricing, marketing and more. Thank you for your kind post. And good luck in your business!

Leslie – I live in the UK. Can you tell me if your course for getting a Job online is geared mainly to the American market?
Hi Caroline – The resources are primarily US, however the information about how to find and apply to jobs is usable anywhere. Let me know if you have further questions.
Hello, My name is Christie McFall. I am a 34 year old single mother. I am looking for a good work at home kit to get started with. I am not really computer savvy and not technical at all. I would really like to work at home so that i could spend more time with my family. I have access to the internet and cable, and i do have my own laptop. Any good recommendations?
Hi Christie, Thank you for stopping Work-At-Home Success. The best way to work at home is to start with the skills and experiences you have. Searching for whatever to do at home is the best way to get scammed. Instead, inventory your talents, skills, education and interests, and then search for jobs or opportunities that use them. You’ll never be able to sign up today and make money at home, and it’s never automatic. So any offer that suggests otherwise should be avoided. Working at home takes time and work. Check out the Getting Started tips and resources for more help.
I’m not sure which email to use. I have a couple of question concerning the first chapter or lesson on Create and Sell Information Products. It’s great information. I’ve learned new vital information. Do I use this email or do you have a different one to answer WAHS University Courses?
Hi Charlie, You can hit reply to the email that sends you each course and I’ll reply. – Leslie
Leslie,
Hi, I love your podcasts. I could have sworn you had a writing class offered, but I don’t see it.
Hi Anne, I don’t have a writing course as part of WAHS University…yet. I am doing an epublishing course live at PVCC May 18. I’m working on turning that into an ecourse as well. Is that the type of writing you were considering? You might want to check out http://www.digitalwritersuccess.com which is my blog for people wanting to make money writing online. It’s free! Thanks!
