5 Winning Attitudes You Need To Earn Money Right Now

You have the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities to succeed and yet, you’re still earning a pittance. If this sounds sadly familiar, what you need is a definite change in attitude to have a brighter future.





Take Risks If You Want to Earn Money
The word “risk” itself is sometimes enough to strike terror in people’s hearts. The word “risk” usually represents fear of the unknown and some people would rather not confront their fears – even if they’re offered the greatest rewards – when they can always choose to stay in their comfort zone.

If you want to earn money right now, you need to develop the courage to take risks. But be sure, of course, that you don’t get foolhardy and just leave your future completely in the hands of fate. Be daring, but don’t forget to act smart.

Be Eager to Learn If You Want to Earn Money
You can never be too thin, too rich, or in this case, too smart. There’s always room for improvement and having a sincere keenness to learn will allow you to not only earn money right now but to continue doing so in the far future. Never allow yourself to think that you already know everything there is to a certain business because when you do, that’s the time you’ll stop improving, and this gives your competitors a chance to sneak up on you.

Be Passionate If You Want to Earn Money
To earn money, you have to find something that you can care for and grow with for the rest of your life. Even if you’re earning lots of money right now from a job that you certainly don’t love, it will always ultimately end in your defeat. If you want to earn money right now and continue doing so, you need to find a job or business that you can be passionate about and never lose interest in. You – and your business – must evolve together if you wish to start and continue earning money.

Be Thrifty If You Want to Earn Money
Wealth isn’t just produced by making money. In fact, that’s just a part of it. Wealth is more importantly and mostly produced by knowing how to save money as well. You need to really understand the value of money if you want to start earning it right now. And if you do understand it, then you’ll also understand the need to be thrifty. Don’t spend if you don’t have to. Don’t spend if you can’t afford to. These are painfully simple rules to live by, but most people end up ignoring them because the opposites are sometimes just too sinfully tempting.

Do Right If You Want to Earn Money
Playing fair and square may be the long and hard road to accumulating wealth, but rest assured that it will deliver on its promise and it will end as you desire. Ignoring ethics and morals, on the other hand, may be rewarding at first but you’ll still lose in the end. If you want to earn money and continue doing so, you need to understand that a business can’t exist alone. It needs the help, support, and trust of its clients, suppliers, distributors, retailers, employees, and everyone else that it interacts with – but how can that be possible if the company doesn’t play fair?

The Secret (Extended Video Version)

If you've missed it, there has been a great deal of buzz on the new book and video The Secret. Oprah, Ellen and many online venues have been touting The Secret as new framework for living a happy, full life. Curious and open to having everything I ever wanted, I invested in the 90 minute video.

So what is The Secret? The video version explains that the secret is the Law of Attraction which states that like energy attracts like energy. It sounds really new age, but in fact, the idea is nothing new and odds are if you have read any other success or achievement oriented books, you have come across the concepts but with different terms.

The Secret explains the Law of Attraction as if its a law of nature such as gravity and includes interviews from physicists as well as philosophers, and success guru's like Jack Canfield (Chicken Soup) and Dr. Joe Vitalie. While I'm not convinced that the universe is cosmic catalog waiting to deliver my every wish, I do know that there is something to the principles that I believe is more related to psychology. If you live your life with an attitude of gratitude, focus on what you want instead of what you don't want or have, stay open to possibilities and take action when opportunity presents itself, you will be successful.

The best example of this idea is in buying a car. Have you ever decided to buy a specific make and model of a car and all of a sudden you see that make and model on the road every time you go out? It can seem like out of nowhere everyone started driving the same car you want. The reality is, there are no more models on the road than before, but by thinking about the car you notice it more. The Law of Attraction is at work here.

However, its not about wishing and thinking and you'll receive. In fact, Law of Attraction guru's have entire courses, meditations, and more to teach and implement the principles. In reality, changing your thoughts (a key component in using The Law of Attraction) is hard and takes practice. But we have all been around people who see the glass half empty and see how unhappy those people are and how much they miss in life. There is something to developing a glass half full attitude because believe it or not, we are what we think we are and our achievements (or lack thereof) are also our own doing.

So, what do I think of the video of The Secret? Actually, it wasn't too bad if you are open to such ideas. If success principles are a lot of fluff to you, then you won't like The Secret. You do need to be open to the terms it uses such as "vibrations" which may seem strange, but I simply redefined as "attitude".  If you are looking for an overview of the key ideas of the Law of Attraction, its a good resource. But it didn't go into enough detail on how to specifically implement the concepts on a daily basis. There are many other good resources such as the books The Law of Attraction by Michael Losier and The Attractor Factor by Dr. Joe Vitale. Or get the book that first shared the "secret' Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill.
