Getting your business online has never been easier, and developing a great website no longer requires huge effort or expertise. Word-of-mouth marketing is changing. Spreading feedback face-to-face is no longer our only option now that social media can do the work. Here are seven ways you can maximize the Internet to promote your business.
1) Write a Blog or Article
Today’s smart consumers need much more than ads and promotions. They want well-researched, easy-to-read, and highly informative content that allows them to effectively make buying decisions. And who better to give them advice than an industry leader as yourself? You can create articles and blog posts that show off your expertise while helping customers troubleshoot different issues. This content will place you and, ultimately, your brand in the limelight. As a result, expect your readers to think of you the next time they need your kind of services.
2) Get Reviewed
Consider having a few positive reviews online to bring traffic your way. However, remember that reviews need to be honest as readers can detect fake, disingenuous ones. So, work on your services’ weaker points and then invite influential bloggers to try them for free. If they enjoy the experience you delivered, ask them to write and post reviews. You can later circulate these reviews via social media or press releases.
3) Get Social
Social media offers a variety of channels that promise you a wider reach than any traditional advertising technique. From social networks to forums, all the way to photo sharing platforms, the sky’s the limit if you decide to be more active on social media. You can also opt for promotional tools such as Facebook Ads, if your budget can accommodate it.
4) Build your website
The notion that building a website is only for those who are highly technical is no longer relevant. With the tools that we have at our expense, anyone can build a professional website in little to know time and even on a budget.
5) Be an expert
Contribute to a blog in your industry How do you get people to view you as credible? Become an expert! An easy way to build your businesses brand is to contribute to a blog about your industry. Other options include writing an ebook, doing a webinar, or creating a course.
6) Connect with Influencers
Social media isn’t just a tool to gain exposure—it is a great way to build strategic and mutually beneficial relationships. Who else do people pay attention to in your industry? Instead of seeing them as a adversary or competition, get to know them. Share their expertise with your market, and often they will do the same.
7) Put up multimedia on YouTube
YouTube provides a free way to distribute creative promotional videos, but in order to succeed you must put up content that people want to view and are relevant to your business.
