Choose Your Path to Work At Home Success

Guest Post from Angel Andrews

Do you really want to achieve work at home success, but at times feel overwhelmed by too much information?

Are you trying to do too many things at one time?

Are you sick and tired of jumping from one task to another without ever really succeeding in any of your work at home pursuits?

If you answered yes to any of those questions then this article is for you. If you want to work at home there are many options that you have. Believe it or not this can actually be a bad thing. Too many people eager to jump into the work at home world get weighed down by trying to do too much at one time. You need to do your research. Decide what you enjoy doing, and make the choice to dedicate yourself to that. Every choice that you make leads you down a different path. There is no right or wrong work at home path and success never comes without hard work and dedication.

In no particular order these are some of the most popular paths people take to work at home:

  • Start a home based business (Online stores, Direct Sales, Web design, etc.)
  • Blogging
  • Affiliate Marketing
  • Freelancing
  • Home based call centers (Customer service and sales)
  • Writing (Articles, Ebooks, etc.)
  • Surveys
  • Search Engine Evaluation
  • Business support (Both via telephone and chat based)
  • Virtual Assisting
  • Online Auctions (Example: Ebay)
  • Moderation
  • Mystery Shopping
  • Transcription

So, with so many options out there, where do you turn to do your research? How do you know which path will lead you to success in your work at home journey? How do you avoid being scammed?

You need to have an open mind and be willing to learn from those that have achieved work at home success. Seek out advice and never stop learning. I have found that if you come out of your shell and really seek advice people are more than happy to help you. The key is not to be shy, but always be cautious. Not everyone out there is your friend. Be sure to network with people that you feel comfortable with, and always express your sincere appreciation for any help that they may offer.

On top of people that you choose to network with, you can also find really helpful advice on many websites and podcasts. You have obviously found one of the best since you are reading this on the Work at Home Success site!

Just remember, before choosing the path that will lead you to your work at home success make sure you do your homework. Talk with people that work at home, research the web, listen to podcasts, read books, and pretty much do anything that you can do to educate yourself. To be successful you need to be prepared. Choose the path that works best for you and give it everything you have. Once you are on the right path do not risk becoming overwhelmed by attempting to travel all the paths at once. Stay focused and you will achieve work at home success!

It is great to see a blog that tries to get to real stories about people working from home and providing resources, information, and help to those who want to start, are just beginning, and even people who have been in the business of working from home for a while. Great job on this BLOG. I am directing my new team members to this!

Great advice, Angel. There are so many scams out there, but there are also equally as many legitimate ways to earn an income from home. Look for a company that has a solid background and that has experienced an increase in growth. Something that appeals to a large market of people and a product (or service) that you know you can really stand behind. When you are passionate about something, you won’t “work” a day in your life. I would also suggest reaching out and getting to know some of the other men and/or women on the team you would be working with so that you can hear more stories that you may be able to relate with. Ask a lot of questions: how many hours will you need to average per day/week to achieve the monthly income you’re hoping to bring in, is there a lot of team support, do they offer training… With an open mind and a will to learn and make a difference in your life and maybe even in other’s lives, you WILL find what you’re looking for. Love this, Angel! 🙂

This is so on point! There are a lot of opportunities out there and you have to be careful in terms of picking the right ones for you!

Focus focus focus on one thing at a time! That’s they key! Doing too many things will stretch you too thin and then you can get easily overwhelmed!

Thanks Angel for the great article!
