    Thanks for sharing the statistics. How are bloggers separating “Advertising” from “Affiliate”. Aren’t Affiliate income considered Advertising? To me, Advertising income can come in multiple payment structures (cost per click, cost per impression, cost per lead, cost per sale, etc).

    I’m also surprised to see 25% of the income from consulting, that’s pretty high and impressive.

    Hi Grace,
    I understand the distinction between advertising and affiliate to be that advertisers are paying money up front for ad space. Affiliate is a type of advertising, but the blogger picks the products and only is paid when a sale or referral is made. I was surprised by some of the results as well. But, I think the survey sample was a bit small.
