Talk2Rep is a call center and contact management service that launched its work from home program in 2005. It’s hired by other companies to manage chat-based customer support and sales.
What Does a Talk2Rep Agent do?
An agent works with various customers and the businesses that Talk2Rep represents. You would assist Talk2Rep clients via chat to answer questions and resolve problems, research and implement solutions, and escalating unresolved issues. It has sales based customer support jobs as well.
What do Talk2Rep Agents Get Paid?
Talk2Rep agents are hired as independent contractors. The Talk2Rep website doesn’t indicate pay information on the site, but research suggests they pay around $9 per hour, plus bonuses based on sales.
Talk2Rep Job Duties and Responsibilities:
A a Sales Chat Agent, you would respond to inbound chat requests with customers or prospective customers to answer questions, find solutions, and make sales based on matching the customer’s need with a solution. Talk2Rep appears to want agents to work 25 to 30 hours a week. It has a two week unpaid training before beginning work.
Talk2Rep Required Skills and Work Specifications:
- Ability to type at least 50 WPM without any errors.
- Ability to multi-task (you need to handle up to 3 chats at the same time)

What Is It Like to Work for Talk2Rep
Like most work environments, there are those who love it and those who don’t. Most reviews are positive. The few negatives include one person that says they were fired without notice. One indicates there are no benefits and they needed to buy a headset. The the lack of benefits should be obvious as it is a contract job. How to Apply to Talk2Rep
You have to fill out an application and go through a hiring process, that can include skills tests and an interview. Talk2Rep passes the cost of a criminal background check* (about $50) to the applicant.
*While you should never pay money to get hired to a job, many companies do ask applicants to pay for the background check, and this is an acceptable request. However, this is the only thing you should be asked to pay for and it should be a reasonable cost.
