More Resources To Find Work-At-Home Jobs

Want to find more jobs? Here are some of the sites I use to find jobs. These resources list hundreds of jobs in a variety of categories. Please note that the listings below are NOT jobs (jobs are posted above). These are services that provide work-at-home job announcements. Some are free and some aren’t. While you never ant to pay a company to hire you, it is okay to invest in a service that can help you find a job. The services below are the ones I use.

Telecommuting Job Databases (fee required to access these services)

FlexJobs– Has tons of work-at-home and flexible job options plus a personalized login system that will identify jobs that fit your criteria, ability to have multiple resume profiles, job search tips and checklists, and much more! For the number of jobs and added service, its a must use for the serious work-at-home job hunter.

HomeJobStop has over 100 jobs in clerical, and more in customer service, writing, transcription, miscellaneous plus 100’s of others. Very affordable.

Profit Blog Blueprint

Ask Leslie

Question: Hi Leslie, I’m trying to start a blog to make money and have everything set up. Your program talks about how important marketing is, but with guest blogging, article writing, social media etc, I’m overwhelmed and don’t know where to start. What do you suggest for a new blogger? – Dani

Answer: Hi Dani – Congrats on your new blog. I’m glad that you picked up on the importance of marketing. In anything you do, marketing is the key to success (that and a good product or service). There’s a tendency to want to implement everyone at once, which is overwhelming. I recommend starting small; start with fast and free like adding a signature line to your email, sending an email to all your friends/family/acquaintances. I would start an email list ASAP so you can capture the email and continue to connect with visitors. This isn’t free, but it crucial to success. When choosing a social network, start with where your readers hang out. Facebook is a pretty safe bet. But you don’t need to Tweet if your readers aren’t on Twitter. Make sure your blog is search engine friendly by using keywords and plugins that help optimize your site. Finally, pay attention to what traffic sources work. For example, you can get a wordpress plugin or use your web host stats (if you’re self-hosted) to learn from where people find you. So if you’re tweeting, but there are no incoming links from Twitter, that would a clue that maybe Twitter isn’t the most effective use of your marketing time. Basically, take it one step at a time and evaluate and focus on what works.

WAHS Hall of Shame – Scam Alert

This week the scam email I’ve been getting is fake order receipts from Amazon.com. If you haven’t ordered anything or you get a receipt to an email you don’t use for ordering, be careful. I never click a link in an email (even if I think it’s legitimate). If you have questions about a receipt you receive, type the URL of the company in your browser and then login to check your account. These fake receipts are a way to steal your login information and make purchases at your expense. Your account info can be stolen as well. So please be careful.
