If you are looking for ways to make extra money and spend more time with family and friends, you are definitely not alone. But how? Many people are turning to home-based businesses. Working from home is great on so many levels. Not having to drive into work everyday is reason enough. But, there are other benefits too. You can work in sweats or pajamas and you can determine your own working hours.

Here are 10 simple tips to make your work at home performance productive and most importantly profitable.

1.) Be very clear about your working hours and stick to it.

2.) Make sure you have a checklist as to what needs to get done everyday and stick to it.

3.) Don’t allow friends to stop by. It’s just an easy distraction.

4.) Use icloud or dropbox for file storage. If you are not home, you can always access your documents.

5.) Although you don’t have to, it’s always wise to get dressed sometimes. It can make the home office feel more like a real office.

6.) Get out of the house. Maybe work one day from a coffee shop or the neighborhood park. It breaks up the monotony.

7.) Read an inspirational post everyday. It will encourage you.

8.) Post to your social media accounts as often as possible (if applicable). You want to stay relevant. Remember, out of sight = out of mind!

9.) Make sure you make time for exercise and sticking to a nutritious diet. This will help ease the tension and keep you healthy.

10.) If having a bad day. Pack up early. Go to the park and relax your mind. You can always begin with a fresh slate tomorrow.
